Hakim Muhammad Saeed remembered on his 19th death anniversary

Islamabad: The prominent Physician, Educationist, Visionary scholar, Philanthropist and former governor of Sindh Hakim Muhammad Saeed is being remembered across Pakistan on his 19th observed today.

Hakim Mohammed Saeed was born on January 9, 1920 in Delhi and migrated to Pakistan with his family. He established Hamdard Dawakhana and later spread its branches all over Pakistan. Later he succeeded in founding Hamdard University in1991. He authored several books on religion, Tibb, health and sciences, literature, social and scientific topics and travelogues.


 

Hakeem Saeed was awarded Nishan-e-Imtiaz in 2002, in recognition of his services. He remained Governor of Sindh province from 1993 to 1996

This great Scholar was assassinated by a group of unknown assailants while he was on his way to Hamdard Laboratories in Karachi.
